The FLYING FINNS pays tribute to those intrepid Finnish drivers nicknamed the "Flying Finns." For decades, these drivers enlivened the World Rally Championship, establishing a new, spectacular driving style characterized by drifting and introducing the left-foot braking technique. 14 of them went on to win at least one world round, and their first names appear on the dial of the FLYING FINNS.

The colors of this dial are inspired by those of the Lancias from that era, behind the wheel of which Markku Alen and Henri Toivonen in particular distinguished themselves. Finally, at the bottom are the Finnish flag and a reference to "sisu," that determination and boldness unique to our Flying Finns.

THE CASE of the ARPIEM Tribute is made of 316L stainless steel, synonymous with durability and solidity. A water resistance of 10 ATM - 100 meters is offered.

THE DIAL: the shape of the sub-dials (the "pandas") is inspired by the pressure gauges of 1960s cars. The indices of the main dial represent the graduations of a tachometer.

THE MOVEMENT: the FLYING FINNS is equipped with the Swiss RONDA Z50 movement.

THE DOMED SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL: this is the highest quality and strongest glass available on the market. Virtually scratch-resistant (only by diamond), its domed finish gives the watch its "vintage" look.

THE TRIPLE-LAYER DIAL DESIGN gives the ARPIEM an elegant volume, which also recalls the "sandwich" alloy construction of race car chassis before the advent of carbon fiber.

THE TACHYMETER: this has been revisited. Indices are usually arranged irregularly on the bezel. On the ARPIEM, they are placed like those on a diver's watch, with the speed given for each 5-second interval on the dial.
