The ARPIEM RD is equipped with a DOUBLE 316L stainless steel CASE featuring a glass case back that reveals the movement and the personalized rotor. The characteristics of this steel are an almost total absence of magnetism, which therefore does not interfere with the movement's operation, and a very low carbon content (less than 0.35%) which makes it particularly resistant to corrosion and wear. Water resistance of 5 ATM is provided.

THE ROTATING DIAL: The RD offers a rare complication: a rotating dial that allows the dial to be offset by 60°, maintaining an intuitive reading of the time while at the wheel – or handlebars – of your 4 or 2-wheeled vehicle. The complication offered on the RD allows the dial to be locked in the traditional "12 o'clock" position (REST position), or offset (DRIVE position) by 60° to the "2 o'clock" position. This is a unique feature developed by Arpiem.

THE MOVEMENT: MIYOTA 90S5 automatic. This movement belongs to the "9000 series," which forms the brand's Premium movements: mounted on 24 jewels, frequency = 28,800 vibrations per hour, 42-hour power reserve. It features an "open heart" design, which highlights the movement on the watch dial.

SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL GLASS: This is the highest quality glass available on the market. It is actually an aluminum oxide crystal and not glass. Although produced synthetically on an industrial scale, it has the same chemical composition and physical properties as natural sapphire. Its main virtue is its scratch resistance. On the MOHS scale, graded from 1 to 10, which evaluates the hardness of minerals, it is rated at 9; only diamond is harder and rated at 10. Most minerals that make up our everyday objects are between 4 and 7 on this scale.

ANTI-REFLECTIVE TREATMENT: The glass is treated with 6 layers of anti-reflective coating, which aim to limit light refraction on the sapphire crystal for perfect perception of colors and materials (the higher the number of layers applied, the lower the light refraction).
